| Of course this is all a guess Pretty sure return Wicked Hamilton Phantom (in some form) Chicago Lion king Hadestown. Probably Hansen Aladdin Aint too proud So that leaves Mormon Harry Potter (maybe revised as one play but wouldn’t be surprised if close) Come from away (it was around break even like mean girls so maybe just take the insurance and close). Mockingbird (Scott rudin is unpredictable) And this years Moulin rouge Jagged little pill Tina (might depend on Adrienne Warren schedule) The first batch may not open in fall but wait until sometime in 2022 but won’t give up the theater. |

| My comment was limited to the 21-22 season. I think there is a good chance one or more of Phantom, Chicago, and Hadestown do not reopen in that timeframe. I think any of your probables or leftovers might not. I think your bottom group will, at least 2 of them. (Again, I know nothing.) Regarding not giving up the theatre, that's not entirely up to them. It is at least possible that some new show that the landlord holds in high regard could bounce a show that's not reopened if the specific theatre is pivotal to the deal. (See, e.g., MM vs. Beetlejuice, which WAS running lol) I don't think we have a good read on where things will be in April in terms of theatrical tourism (meaning casual), and personally I just don't think the market will support all of these tourist shows. It would take a LOT (to the point of inconceivability) to get masses of locals and people like you to decide you need to see Chicago or Phantom or Aladdin etc etc again we shall see |
