Since ''Moulin Rouge!'' and ''Jagged Little Pill'' didn't go head-to-head at last night's Grammys, I don't know if that really tells us anything.

One of the few times that ''Moulin Rouge!,'' ''Jagged Little Pill'' AND ''Tina'' competed was at the Drama League Awards, and ''Moulin'' won.

A couple weeks ago, GoldDerby.com's contributors David Buchanan and Sam Eckmann debated the many Musical categories at the Tonys.

They were predicting the ''quintessential, escapist, feel-good'' ''Moulin Rouge!'' to take the top prize and sweep the design categories.

However, post-pandemic, they could foresee how ''Jagged Little Pill'' could pull off an upset if it's seen as the ''more important'' musical.

Buchanan and Eckmann also think the four acting prizes will be spread among the three shows. (The winners look like locks. Or are they?)

I think the musical acting winners are pretty much set: Aaron Tveit, Adrienne Warren, Lauren Patten, and Danny Burstein.

The play acting winners, on the other hand, are anyone's guess. I don't think any of them are locks, except Lois Smith.
