Among the more puzzling, the 1997 winner for Best Musical Theater Album: The Grammys picked ''Riverdance'' over ''Rent.''
And the Tony winners for Best Score that didn't even get a Grammy nomination, include: ''Urinetown,'' ''Memphis'' and ''Next to Normal.''
Tony-winning Best Musicals usually do well, but sometimes even they miss: ''Billy Elliot's'' cast album wasn't even nominated. |
