| I recently discovered the wonderful Arlen/Mercer score from 1946 sung by Pearl Bailey, Harold and Fayard Nicholas, etc but I was struck at there being only 11 songs with no overture. I saw on iTunes the 1998 recording with Vanessa Williams that had 21 tracks, including the overture and 2 reprises of Come Rain or Come Shine. Was this because of the limitations of vinyl or are these newly discovered songs? |
