| Apparently Da Silva had already left Oklahoma! when Volume 2 was recorded so Alfred Drake stepped in for that song. Ironically Da Silva also missed the recording session for the 1776 cast album because of his heart attack. I've always hoped that some day Sony will re-master 1776 and release the film soundtrack as well, making it a double CD package. I love Da Silva's inimitable characterizations on all his recordings, especially Fiorello!. |
