They had been in rehearsal and were just getting ready to open when theaters were closed last year. When they decided to film the actors were at home all over the country and even overseas. They were mailed their costumes and set pieces. There were duplicates so each had the same chairs, glasses, etc. They were each also sent green screens and lights from what I understand. Each actor filmed themselves on their phone in front of a green screen. They zoomed to discuss with the director. It took quite a while to film and edit it together. I thought it was a wonderful production although granted there were places that some things didn't match up or were reversed. I watched it several times and thought the acting was great and the story very emotional. I understand they still hope to put it on stage when it is safe and I look forward to seeing it live. I have watched all their productions and have really enjoyed them. Meet Me in St Louis was done the same way and was very entertaining.
