| My parents had those Oklahoma 78s, and that's what started it all for me ! Sitting on the floor on 7th Avenue in South Brooklyn when I was about 7 years old. I've been hooked ever since ! | |

| My aunt and uncle were the only ones in our family who had a hi-fi system, which could play LPs. They saw the General Foods TV Variety special in 1954 with Ezio Pinza and Mary Martin singing "Some Enchanted Evening" and bought the South Pacific OBC album. I used to sit on their family room floor when I was 6 years old listening to "Bali Hai" until I memorized it. | |
