| Megan has played several roles in non-Karen Walker style. She has a really good belt voice, she's a very attractive woman, she can definitely play a brassy broad. And, of course, Reno was not originally a dance-heavy role and didn't become such until, in later years, it was rejiggered for people like Ann Miller, Mitzi Gaynor and Sutton Foster. So it seems to me that Megan is very good casting for Reno as the role was originally conceived and played for many years. |
