| what song of his, if you had the chutzpah, might you sing to him in appreciation? Just joking, but was thinking I might offer "You Could Drive a Person Crazy" in tribute to the effect his writing that song had on his neighbor Katharine Hepburn. No disrespect, but I think he might have a chuckle. Heck, even if you didn't have the guts, what could you imagine singing to him? This idea came to me as I was walking around his neighborhood. (I have seen him walking around audition studios and never bothered him. I did meet him at a record signing years ago, and he was very nice. No, I didn't sing to him!) :) |

| Even though I've performed dozens of Sondheim songs, I would never BEGIN to have had the courage to actually sing in front of the guy. And the one time I did meet Mr. Sondheim, I don't think I croaked out anything more than "it's a gigantic honor to meet you." - GMB |
