| I'm sorry if this antagonizes people, but I've seldom been as disappointed in a show as I was in City of Angels. The Bogart parody private eye had been absolutely done to death - it was featured on practically every sitcom of the era. Some of the songs were nice - always to be expected in a Cy Coleman show - but I found the book and story worse than tired. |
