I agree. Close was incredible and should've won her Oscar for ''Dangerous Liaisons.'' ... And I'd love to see Yuh-jung Youn win for ''Minari.''
But the Academy has a history of overlooking Asians. If Youn wins, it'll be the first time an Asian has won Supporting Actress in 63 years!
(The last time being Miyoshi Umeki in ''Sayonara''; she, of course, went on to star in ''Flower Drum Song'' on Broadway and the big screen.) |
