| " I saw the film in '64 as a teenager and liked it a lot. Hepburn is radiant in the book scenes, especially after the transformation takes place. However, as an adult I'm a lot more cognizant of the film's flaws, e.g., the dubbing for me doesn't work. It's too obvious when Audrey is singing and when it's Marni Nixon." Sadly, I have to agree about the Nixon/Hepburn dubbing, and that the film has many flaws to go along with its many moments of brilliance. By the way, I think another of its greatest flaws is that Bill Shirley's singing for Jeremy Brett is, if anything, and even worse match than Nixon/Hepburn, and for that reason, I can never enjoy "On the Street Where You Live" as performed in the film.
