I saw Kerstin Anderson do Eliza during one of five visits to the recent Lincoln Center revival. She sang and acted Eliza just as well as Laura Benanti and was closer to Eliza’s actual age. Hadden-Paton deserved the Tony for My Fair Lady. I really don’t know how Tony Shaloub won that year.
Though I understood why they changed the ending, it was so awkwardly handled I wasn’t satisfied.
