You seem to be misapprehending just about everything in two sentences.
When theatres can reopen is not a matter of negotiation; the state will make that decision. Everyone wants theatre again, but most want it to be safe. Do you not?
There is no suggestion that any Broadway theatre will not reopen.
Theatres (as opposed to productions) are not in an urgent position in terms of the profitability issue, and productions will be navigating profitability (or not) as they always have. The return will be measured and, mostly, rational.
Wrecking balls are not even possible for many theatres and the notion is just as silly as it is short-sighted. As I have repeatedly counseled, patience. The fabulous invalid will outlast this challenge as it has outlasted every other challenge that has prompted folks like you to pronounce doom. |
