| In "A 24 Decade History of Popular Music", Taylor Mac stages a poetry/wrestling face-off between Walt Whitman and Stephen Foster, with the audience voting for who was the better poet. It's a close fight, and Mac clearly sides with Whitman (for a number of reasons), but it's very hard for anyone to overpower the ear worm that is "Camptown Races", which is damn catchy for a minstrel song. |
