| New baby lyrics and business aside (to my mind, that's a whole separate debate), I liked how the Witch's fate was clarified for us in that version--swallowing the beans (effectively committing suicide) and already becoming old and ugly towards the end. It made her being swallowed up into the earth a bit more sensical. |
