Not really at all. Percussive sound effects were added as she swallowed the beans, but nothing else in the music or orchestration was altered. And nothing "suicidal" in sound (it sounds almost comic/cartoonish to me, frankly) - it's more in line with the xylophone glisses as she throws the beans, or the ratchet/bass drum hits for the "boom crunch" moments throughout the show. I think you're putting way too much significance on this. :-)
