| For me, both musically and dramatically, "Our Little World" is the counterpart to "No More." The troubled mother/daughter relationship vs. the troubled father/son relationship. And the melody to the refrain (i.e. the title) starts the same as the Mysterious Man's "running away" melody. I agree that it might not be *essential* to the show, but it's a nice addition. (Even though Act I is LONG no matter what you do, lol.) |
