| Has this film ever been announced/developed/workshopped as a musical? More than Pretty Woman, Tootsie, or Mrs. Doubtfire it seems like a natural for the musical theatre, i.e. most of the characters are operatic to begin with. And all the restaurant scenes and the big numbers set in Little Italy! Not since "Bravo Giovanni!" Or does John Patrick Shanley own the rights (uncommon, most screenplays are owned by the company that films them) and hold a tight fist? |
