| RIP. This production of The Norman Conquests was one of the best theatre experiences I've ever had. | |

| I never got to see him on stage, but I absolutely ADORED his performance in the cult favorite British TV comedy Friday Night Dinner about a British Jewish family whose adult sons return home every week for Friday night dinner with their parents and... chaos ensues. Farce doesn't always work on TV, but with sharp writing and excellent comedic performances, Friday Night Dinner was one of the most reliably funny TV shows of the past decade. His wonderfully nutty "Dad" energy, with his constant declarations of "Shit on it!", his inquiries into "females" in his sons' lives, his bizarre hobbies and his undeniable chemistry with Tamsin Greig as his wife were a total delight. |
