I was unfamiliar with Ms Kirschenbaum until today, but the description in the obituary of her trying to get free tix from patrons at the opera reminds me a lot of the woman, much reviled here, who does this at theatres all over town and who had a documentary made about her. Without wanting to besmirch her memory in any way...what's the difference? Is it just that this lady was a more pleasant person?
