| During a period of years at least a decade ago when I frequented the Met (a brief obsession), I would see this charming and delightful lady near the entrance looking for a ticket. There was something about her - well-spoken, self-effacing, smart, funny, vulnerable, courteous - which made you want to give her a hug and help her out. I think I recall handing her a ticket now and then. Many others did, too. She was there every time I attended. So sad to know she is gone. RIP dear Lois. |
