Don't know if new art will be installed in its place.
It’s great it found a new place instead of being installed in a museum.
The piece was designed for the lobby and it cast "Orpheus" as a kind of Icarus impacted by "Apollo"... music as an explosion of golden sonar shards. What a ridiculous idea to place it in the La Guardia airport. Lippold made a piece for the PamAm building but it's completely different in feeling and its site location, more about being held aloft than exploding.
