| Tepper's book was published in February of this year. "...and one [musical] is currently running: THE LION KING." No, it's not currently running. Certainly a huge error, given the context of the book having been published this past February. |

| If we're to take Tepper at her exact word, the show would be in performances now. It's not. | |

| Due respect, that one's a singularly nitpicky 'error' | |

| A book is not a newspaper or a magazine, and a book that's compiled as an oral history should not be filed under "current events". This is obviously written for posterity, and not for only the year 2021. Were we take you at your exact word, the book's intended audience would only be people who read it between March and (presumably) sometime late this summer/early fall (it's anybody's guess), and therefore should have been written and edited specifically and only for that group of people. For all we know, and given the pace of the publishing industry, she could've turned in final proofs of the book last summer when people (including the Broadway League) were still speculating/hoping theatre would come back in early 2021. You're faulting her for prognostication skills she never claimed to possess, and assigning her a responsibility that isn't hers, for a project designed for larger purposes and a longer shelf life. |

| A book is not a newspaper or a magazine, and a book that's compiled as an oral history should not be filed under "current events". This is obviously written for posterity, and not for only the year 2021. What's funny is that I take that point, but see it the other way. A book that is trying to chronical a history of a theatre might well note that production was interrrupeted for over a year due to a pandemic - something that readers in the future might want clarified. she could've turned in final proofs of the book last summer when people (including the Broadway League) were still speculating/hoping theatre would come back in early 2021. You're faulting her for prognostication skills I'm assuming that the text still could have been corrected. In any case, pecansforall asked us if we could find the "glaring error" in the quoted excerpt, and for me, to say a show is "still running" when it isn't is indeed a glaring error. But hey, only on ATC would this observation become a national crisis, lol. |

| To my knowledge, "The Lion King," unlike some other shows, has not posted a closing notice, loaded out of the theatre, or issued a public announcement that it will not return to Broadway during the reopening. ("Frozen" did all those things last May.) Like many other shows, its performances have been temporarily suspended by the pandemic. But Disney has terminated the runs of neither "Lion King" and "Aladdin." |
