And even within the common usage of the word cancelled, Dr. Seuss has not been cancelled - that's just right-wing propaganda nonsense.
Rowling's situation is more complicated, as she has lost a lot of fans and the Harry Potter IP has been somewhat damaged by her transphobia, but again, the outcry that she's been cancelled is simply a distraction from the racist right and its supporters to drum up anti-left hysteria.
