| I enjoyed it. It was fun watching Rashad playing a faded diva trying to hold onto her past glory, including her past body. Lots of amusing theatre jokes. Not sure if its been produced anywhere. Considering that Cleage has a connection to Alliance, as does Rashad, I was wondering if the part had been written for her. (Debbie Allen was fine as the sister, even if it was a bit of stunt casting.) Agree that Alicia Stith was delightful. Wasn't a pure Zoom reading -- there were more single camera shots than Brady Bunch. Still a reading, but since the play doesn't seem to have any significant action, that wasn't a problem. |
