| I’m surprise that Hopkins won for the Father, which also won adapted screenplay. I didn’t see it on broadway but did like the movie a lot. | |

| Richly deserved -- he was even better than Cranham onstage in London and Langella on Broadway, which is saying a lot. Nice to share the awards-season love, in any case. | |

| Hopkins was superb. However, I did not think the film as good as the stage production. Much more effective and powerful on stage. | |

| I haven’t seen the movie, but I was really taken with the play. I remember thinking if I’d been a voter that would’ve been my choice for the best play Tony that year. | |

| A play I didn’t like. Eclipsed and King Charles 3 were the other nominees. I loved KC3. | |
