I just read that! How... bizarre? Why on earth would they hire twenty-eight musicians to just sit in the pit for an overture? Is it because it was recorded with an even larger orchestra? I'm utterly confused.
And, we're 100% sure the orchestra doesn't start until the Hannibal scene? I ask, because I know the first part of the overture is mainly just the organ, but it's so strange to me that even when the orchestra joins the organ in the overture that it's still pre-recorded?
