| Not to be morbid, but I was surprised how old they are now Fran (93) and Barry (82). What are the prospects of keeping Chicago open? They don’t seem to be a production company that maybe the kids (do they have progeny?) or grandkids would keep running. Chicago is produced in association with kardana productions (hairspray was its last show) and PACE theatrical group (jeckyl and Hyde 2013 revival flop was last show). Seems like all of the producers are beyond retirement or left broadway producing. I wonder if the insurance payout is a few millions if they will just take the money and close the books. It might be an uphill battle to find an audience without tourists. | |
