I know, but I'm sure you will agree this is an extraordinary situation. And if it gets to the point where THE MUSIC MAN won't happen at all if he continues as producer -- because Hugh Jackman quits, or whatever -- then he might as well let someone else produce the show. Don't you think?
By the way, it just occurred to me that one conceivable scenario is that Rudin could be thrown out of the producers' league, which wouldn't in itself mean he absolutely could not continue to produce THE MUSIC MAN (or other shows), but it might well have that effect.
