I saw the show at the Duffy Theatre on April 24, 1998. Saw it listed in the NY Times ABC listings for $35 and I asked 3 co-workers if they wanted to see it since we all were murder mystery fans.
We walked up the very long flight of stairs (if memory serves me correctly) and a lady took our tickets. We walked into the theatre and saw only 6 other people there (this was a Friday night). The usher showed us to our row F seats, and then a few minutes before the show started he came back and told us that they were not expecting anyone else and that we could move up to the front. So we moved to the second row, as the lead actress walked out I turned to one of my co-workers and said "Wasn't she the one that took our tickets?" She nodded yes!
As the show played on I just kept asking myself how the hell has this show been playing for so long as it was at the time. It was just terrible. I kept apologizing to my friends for suggesting to see this show. They forgave me.
