***But isn't it a fact that the majority of the posters questioning "Olivo's methods, etc." were so obsessed with her attendance record and manner of speech that they ignored the VASTLY MORE IMPORTANT ISSUE of "reprehensible behavior in the theater industry?"***
I don't know, I didn't do that close a survey of the responses. But some people who have focused on Olivo's attendance record at MOULIN ROUGE may feel that's germane to the Rudin topic in the sense that she either didn't want to continue in the show anyway OR was told that her services would no longer be required when and if the show opens again, and that she tried to frame her exit from a show NOT produced by Rudin as a statement against that kind of behavior in order to control the narrative, as they say.
OF COURSE, even if that's true, it doesn't mean she doesn't sincerely hate the kind of behavior she's deploring. Also of course, everyone should condemn and seek to eradicate that kind of behavior regardless of how they feel about Olivo's methods -- and I hope we can all agree that is, indeed, vastly more important than her attendance record, etc.
