I was going to answer your other post, which would include some of what I am saying here instead (unless I forgot something in the other post :-) ). I don't think it is beside the point to the extent that there are a great many people saying that they do not believe anything is changing, that his statement is just PR BS. Other people are saying we need to make sure he is subtracted from any involvement in the theatre permanently (and some include his profits on existing shows in that). Those things translate to a post-Rudin theatrical world (what I somewhere called a dead-to-me scenario). Broadway survives deaths and grows in new ways. A lot of those deaths have been grievously premature. We will survive without Rudin, and will be enriched in new and different ways. My reference to POC producers and shows is not about a competition but to note that we evolve, sometimes grudgingly and POC need to be a major part of the future. I mention race because Rudin's reckoning is occurring right in the middle of another far more important reckoning related to race. We are hearing fretting over the theatre against the backdrop of a trial that has been interrupted daily by police shootings and mass murders. Nothing happens now that isn't racial. Now as to your points about Rudin's producing of significant black plays, acknowledged, to the extent of everything you say but also recognize that these are largely not black voices or if they are they are black voices often viewed by blacks as "for white audiences." Go through that very good list you made and consider how many of those shows have been criticized. The post-Rudin generation of producing will be enriched if nothing else by telling POC stories in POC voices that resonate for POC audiences. I hope this is not too muddled, and I hope it makes a little substantive sense to you.
