What I got from the twin brother's recorded statement was that trying to cope with Rudin's abuse ("so mean to him" seems rather weak tea) led him to make other compromising life decisions, which led to his suicide. Rudin seems to be implicated for the start of the downward spiral. Not a direct cause of the suicide, but starting things in that direction.
