|Don't believe everything you read in Deadline's article on Scott Rudin's resignation from the Broadway League|

|First of all, when this article first popped up on my phone earlier today, I'm pretty sure it contained several tremendous inaccuracies. I do not have a screen cap of that version, so I could possibly be wrong about that. But even if I am wrong, as it stands now, the article still contains at least one whopping falsehood:
"Without the League affiliation, Rudin would seem to be essentially a non-union producer, and Actors’ Equity does not work with non-union producers."
As this article itself points out -- at least, the version of it that's accessible now -- "For years, Disney Theatricals took the non-League route." Also, as the article does NOT point out, the Ambassador Theatre Group operates without League membership. And, of course, both of those producing organizations have worked, and continue to work, with Actors' Equity (and other theatrical unions).
As a friend pointed out to me, by way of further clarification, the Broadway theater owners are members of the League, and all of those organizations -- the Shuberts, the Nederlanders, Jujamcyn -- have contracts and agreements with all of the unions, which any producer would have to abide by whether or not he is a member of the Broadway League.
