You've allowed your obsession with racism in the arts to blind you to other valid points of view. Miss Saigon no more says that all Asian women are prostitutes than Flower Drum Song says all Asians are night club performers. Artists should have the right to create their own works, even if, like the creators of Miss Saigon and Pacific Overtures, they are not part of the group they are creating about. It's called free expression.
And while the rants about white males dominating the culture are based in truth, they ignore the fact that many classic works, from Death of a Salesman to The Championship Season to much of Sam Sheppard's work to 12 Angry Men to Merrily We Roll Along (and on and on) are critiques of the dominant white male culture
