Welcome back Jim Wilson, with his review of Haunt Quest, running through June 6 at SoHo Playhouse:

Just over a week ago, the death-defying play Perfect Crime reopened with great fanfare and signaled a return of sorts to normalcy as the pandemic (hopefully) continues to wane. Joining the handful of performance offerings in New York City is Haunt Quest, an immersive theatre piece that is part ghost story, part hypnosis show, and part séance. As Todd Robbins, the evening's raconteur and the audience's connection to the dead, ironically notes, after more than a year the first live show many people will experience is about death.
