Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director/CEO) announces RTC alumna and friend Jane Krakowski (Tony Award nominee, She Loves Me; Tony Award winner, Nine) will star in the 2021 Gala celebrating the long-awaited return to live theatre. This year’s special hybrid event “Curtain Up, Light the Lights!” will happen live in Central Park on Monday, June 7 and also stream live.
Krakowski will be joined by The New York Pops and her “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” co-star Tituss Burgess in a unique concert created exclusively for the special occasion. The evening will celebrate the Save Our Stages Act, accepted by Co-Sponsor Senator Charles E. Schumer. Additional artist appearances to be announced.
The most current of COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place, including social distancing, face coverings, and testing or proof of vaccination for attendance.
All proceeds from the 2021 Gala benefit Roundabout Theatre Company’s myriad programs happening during the shutdown, safety protocols when theater opens again, and support for hundreds of artists and technicians who are eagerly awaiting the return to work.
The in-person Gala will begin with staggered safety arrivals at 5:30PM and include a seated dinner, a live auction and the special concert performance. The virtual live stream will begin at 8:00 PM.
The evening is being co-chaired by Samantha Rudin Earls and David Earls and Johannes “Johs” Worsoe, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group. Gala Tickets range from $2,500 - $10,000 and include seating for the dinner and performance in-person at the $5,000 and $10,000 levels, and access to the virtual stream and dinner delivered to your home at the $2,500 level. Gala Tables start at $25,000 and include a table of six for dinner and the performance, with $50,000 and $100,000 Tables including a table of eight. All tickets and table levels can be adjusted to a virtual experience with dinner delivered to your home.

ABOUT JANE KRAKOWSKI
Award winning triple threat Jane Krakowski is most commonly known for her role as Jenna Maroney on NBC’s Emmy Award-winning 30 Rock. She was honored with four Emmy nominations for her work on the show, as well as a collective 2009 Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. Other iconic performances include her Golden Globe-nominated portrayal of Elaine Vassal on the multi-Award-winning Ally McBeal, her Critics’ Choice winning, Emmy nominated Jacqueline White in Netflix’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt series and film, Miss Shields in FOX’s A Christmas Story LIVE as well as guest stars on Modern Family , Curb Your Enthusiasm, At Home with Amy Sedaris, The Simpsons, American Dad, Drunk History, Younger and even Sesame Street.
In 2016, Jane starred on Broadway in the Roundabout Theater Company’s production of She Loves Me (Outer Critics Circle Award, Astaire Award, Drama Desk Award and Tony nomination). She earned a 2003 Tony Award, a Drama Desk Award and an Outer Critics Circle Award for her portrayal of Carla in the Broadway musical Nine and a Tony nomination for Grand Hotel. Other Broadway credits include Company, Once Upon a Mattress, Tartuffe, and Starlight Express. She won an Olivier Award while starring in Guys and Dolls in London's West End and starred in the Encores! revival of Damn Yankees as well as Mrs. Potts in the Hollywood Bowl’s 2018 production of Beauty and the Beast. In 2012 Krakowski released her solo debut album, “The Laziest Gal in Town,” a CD recording captured during her cabaret nightclub debut at the Park Avenue hotspot, Feinstein’s at Loews Regency. In 2012, she performed a one-woman cabaret act to a sold-out crowd at NYC’s legendary Town Hall Theater.
