In which a writer, after a big grant and a short spell working as a contract writer in Hollywood, is flush with his first hit show in the city, and sees the virtue in the "creative purpose back of this gradual method" in the work of the playwright who had won the Nobel a decade before. ( Who was apparently glad to get the note from the hit writer -- when Iceman opened a month later, the reviews were mixed.)
