(New York, NY) – Live in-person productions are "springing up" in New York again and Get Naked LLC in association with Soiree Fair, Inc., Husani Oakley and Tym Byers today announced the return of one of the gayest, nakedest musicals to play in the city since the 2010s - a fully updated, roaring 20s version of their hit queer musical comedy CAMP MORNING WOOD: A VERY NAKED MUSICAL. The special limited engagement Off-Broadway run will play in Chelsea during Pride Month, June 4 – June 20th at Asylum Theatre, 307 West 26thStreet. Conceived and directed by Marc Eardley, the critically acclaimed musical comedy features a book and lyrics by Jay Falzone, music by Trent Jeffords, Derrick Byars, Matt Gumleyand Jeff Thomson with arrangements and orchestrations by Gumley and Jeffords. It also features a tremendous amount of nudity. https://campmorningwoodthemusical.com

Tighter, harder, funnier and more outrageous, CAMP MORNING WOOD: A VERY NAKED MUSICAL tells the story of Randy, who – at a crossroads in his life after a hellish 30th birthday, finds himself at the front gate of a humble nudist camp. The camp itself is also at a crossroads – besieged by a tyrannical, right-wing Christian Senator who threatens its closure. Randy is thrust into a weekend adventure of titillating tunes, quirky campers, and deep soul-searching. Together, Randy and the campers seek out a solution to save the camp... and accept each other. They bare it all—inside and out—in this wild mix between Rocky Horror and The Wizard of Oz. Disclaimer: Actors in the show will be nude - one after the next, after the next. No clothes – just the birthday suit.

"We created Camp Morning Wood to make a statement about positive body image while telling an outrageously silly and fun story. Everyone is beautiful. Bodies are beautiful and confidence can come from the inside if humans are supported the right way. We hope our show reminds everyone of that. Our entire team of queer artists and creatives agreed that there was no better time to bring humor and levity back to New York then after this dark, dark year in our lives. So, as we like to say at camp, come for the dick, stay for the uplifting story!"

The cast of CAMP MORNING WOOD: A VERY NAKED MUSICAL features Thomas Delgado, Da'Merius Ford, Chris Ogren, Sean Stephens, Shelton Lindsay, Anthony Logan Cole, and Brady Vigness. Every cast member is fully vaccinated as are the tech team members and all Asylum staff members.

Scenic design is by Aubrey Weeks, lighting design is by Zach Pizza, costume and prop design are by Stephen Smith, choreography is by Jashiro Dean, musical direction is by Rachel Kaufman. General management is by Lyle Sterne, stage management is by Kyra Bowie, public relations is by Dan DeMello, marketing and social media operations are by Jay Michaels. Casting is by RJ Magee.

The production (originally sponsored by The Woods Campground) first premiered in 2019 at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater. Since then, Eardley and Falzone have updated the show significantly. "We have a mostly queer creative team, a diverse BIPOC producing team and cast, and bodies of all sizes. We reduced the cast from 11 to 7, tightened up the narrative to be focused on one lonely, over the gay hill, guy's journey of self-discovery, and added a handful of upgraded, truly kick ass, Broadway quality showtunes. The music in this show is gonna knock people's socks off - if not their entire outfit," says Eardley.

Performances of CAMP MORNING WOOD: A VERY NAKED MUSICAL are on June 4 @ 9:30; June 5 @ 11:00 p.m.; June 11 & 18 @ 9:30 p.m.; June 12 & 19 @ 2:00 & 5:00 p.m.; June 13 & 20 @ 2:00 p.m. The June 5th 11pm performance is an experimental "camp morning wood: after dark" performance, which will include burlesque and additional fantasy elements for a late-night feel.
