HB Studio paid tribute on its FB page; I had received an email a few days ago. He taught at HB from the 50s till quite recently, also studying & acting a lot with Herbert Berghof & Uta Hagen. He worked a great deal on stage & in the earlier days of television, & was so wonderful in THE PAWNBROKER. I adored studying with him for 4 or 5 years, & his advice still helps keep my feet & mind focused , both onstage & off. He also had a great , inspiring sense of joy & curiosity to balance his tough mind. NINETY SIX years young...a life extremely well lived!
