There are many many variables. First, we are still waiting for a resolution of the vaccine issue. It could be that the state is approving this based on a vaccine requirement (as is the case with The Late Show returning shortly at 100% capacity and 100% vaccinated). Second, there is the question of timing. The first weeks of September are generally considered bad. Labor Day weekend, the start of school, and the Jewish holidays do not make for prime season. That's especially true for shows that depend heavily on tourists and in the case of LK and Wicked, kids. Hadestown at least avoids the latter problem. I can think of more but that sets the tone.
