I criticized S/F for what I saw as an unfair lumping of everyone into the same pot, but you are no fairer. (This is not a unique problem in America, alas.)
It is false that the League has only two functions. If that were the case, explain why they just hired Gennean Scott as Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. Your statement is, at best, disingenuous.
It is also false to say 40+% of the country is made up of virulent racists, but that's beside the point. The issue here is not virulent racism; it's systemic racism. That's like saying that because only a few producers have scaled the heights of Drabinsky in terms of fraud (or Rudin in terms of abusive behavior), the systemic fraud and abuse can be overlooked.
Broadway (and the theatre in general) needs to confront all three of these issues, among others of course, and stop sweeping them under the rug. Broadway can and must do better, and the apologies need to stop. Intransigence just lets the wounds fester.
