I was intrigued by the casting of this, so I did buy a ticket. I have to say, at this point with these types of virtual performances, I wished it was a little more polished? I understood it was a table read, but couldn't we at least get everyone to have a simple backdrop, or the same living room set backdrop so there is a feeling they are all in the same space? I found the artwork on the walls a real distraction. Some of the sound was spotty and inconsistent, so it just felt like "another" Zoom meeting!
But having never seen this play before, I enjoyed experiencing the writing and many of the lines, and the humor that Kathryn Hahn tried to bring to the role. It definitely prompted me to go searching for more videos of the original cast, and Madeline Kahn.
