Birdie was a Broadway show I saw on stage when it opened. I happened to have liked it very much. It was also a hit on Broadway. It plays much better on stage, I think, than in the movie. I played the 'father ' role at Wilkes-Barre Little Theatre. It was a big hit and I enjoyed being in the production
