I saw it in a theater this weekend. One thing I’ll say which didn’t tons of buzz… as a Broadway fan, I really appreciated Daphne Ruben-Vega. She wasn’t in the RENT movie but as a former Renthead, it was nice to see her get a chance to perform on film.
I liked a lot of the performers actually. And the opening number was great.
On the topic of the 2008 Broadway season on film, I’ll throw in a recommendation for PASSING STRANGE, which is worth a revisit via Spike Lee’s movie. |
