I just posted that I would not discuss this, but since we are both up late....
I was staggered when I played the Daly Gypsy OBC. I had seen the performance. I thought "WTF" when I heard it.
There is probably more to this than we know, and it would be interesting to know all the facts.
Bottom line, you nailed it about the Weisslers. They apparently robbed us of a truly legendary musical comedy experience (and it goes without saying, another Tony for Liza Minnelli, or maybe not--let's ask Bernadette). |
