The last stop of the Nat company (with Forrest Tucker) was the first Bway show I saw. I assume the 'racist' comment in the article is based on the 'Indian' number the mayor's wife per forms. Perhaps it wont be in the new production.'. I also assume that,unlike the original pro
duction. the town of River city will be like the UN or Benetton add, which is all to the good....Later on in life(age 8 when i listened to the cast album;age 11 when i saw the show w) Later on in life. I realized the show could be the setup for a dirty joke,(Hey. did you hear the one about the traveling salesman and the old maid librarian? But the show turns the premise on its head for a happy end' . i'm afraid my travlin days are over, but i wil definitly buy the new cast album. |
