| the plan as I understand from what Charlotte St. Martin is saying is not to report grosses for the foreseeable future because they will be misleading (i.e., revealing how good or bad things are in some quarters). It's naive, of course, because the numbers will be out there and will make it out through the backchannel. Way too many people get the grosses for it to stay secret. But we will will have is less reliable info (which for those not wholly lacking in institutional memory like the chief executive is is how and why the league started releasing it to begin with. we shall see how this plays out but that's where things are right now. I am linking the article I saw on this but it may be behind a paywall. (If you can't see, I will summarize in more detail) |
