| I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this, I didn't see this coming, but I think its a really good choice. The part requires charm and more charm. Reid Shelton had it, Harve Presnell had it in his early career, several later day Daddy Warbucks totally lacked it and were lousy (Albert Finney!!). I'm getting more and more excited because Annie well cast and directed with a firm hand is a marvelous musical, but the last revival and most of the films didn't let it play out with honest emotion. I'm hoping this will be Annie for the ages. |
